1 Are you yearning for the glory
Mid the toil and sorrows here?
Is the prospect more enchanting,
Does it strengthen, does it cheer?

2 Would you like this very moment,
To be brought into that scene,
And to stand within His presence,
With no vail to come between. [Refrain]

3 In that place so pure and holy,
Would you shrink before the light?
Do you know His blood most precious,
Hath availed to wash you white? [Refrain]

4 If you knew that He could save you
And His love could realize,
Would it fill your heart with rapture,
Would it prove a glad surprise? [Refrain]

5 If He came as He hath promised,
In the twinkling of an eye,
Would He find you waiting for Him,
