Antiphon : The Lord is my light and my salvation.
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation.
Whom then shall I fear?
The Lord is my strong refuge,
of whom then need I be afraid?
2 When the enemy came upon me to devour me,
he stumbled and fell to the ground.
Though an host of men were camped against me,
yet will I put my trust in him.
3 One thing I ask of the Lord,
one petition I seek from him:
to dwell in the house of the Lord,
and serve him all my days.
4 To behold the fair beauty of the Lord,
and to visit his temple.
There will I offer him the sacrifice of thanksgiving:
I will sing and speak praise to my God.
