LXXI. Hail, thou eternal King

1 Hail, thou eternal King!
Thy ceaseless praise we sing:
Praise shall our glad tongues employ,
Praise' o'erflow our grateful soul,
While we vital breath enjoy,
While eternal ages roll.

2 Let earth's remotest bound
With thy glad praise resound!
From thine high and holy place,
Where thou dost in glory reign,
Thou, in condescending grace,
Deign'st to view the sons of men.

4 O Lord, thou God of love!
While we thy mercy prove,
Praise shall our glad tongues employ,
Praise o'erflow our grateful soul,
While we vital breath enjoy,
While eternal ages roll.
