4214. A Message of Hope

1. There’s a message full of hope
For the penitents who mourn,
With a heart of sorrow weeping o’er their sin;
For our blessèd Lord has said,
He that cometh unto Me,
I will never cast away, but take him in.

Refrain
Christ can save and keep, we know;
He will wash as white as snow,
’Tis a message full of hope;
Tell it out where’er you go.

2. There’s a message full of hope,
Tho’ their many sins appear
Like a mountain reaching upward to the sky,
And the spirit low may sink
’Neath the burden, in despair,
And they fear that no deliverer is nigh. [Refrain]

3. There’s a message full of hope,
When at last we bid farewell
To our friends and all those earthly scenes for aye;
For the Master we have loved
Is the pilot who will guide
All the faithful to the land of endless day. [Refrain]
