130. The Sunbright Clime

1 Have you heard, have you heard of the sunbright clime?
Beyond all the wasting and blighting of time,
Where the odor of lilies is sweet in the air,
And flow'rets all fadeless are blossoming there.

Chorus:
O, yes, we have heard, and we long for the time,
When the sorrows of earth are subsiding,
When we'll go to our home in the sunbright clime,
With our loved in its glory residing.

2 And the streets of the city are burnished with gold,
Its mansions are many and fair to behold,
And the mountains and hills have a splendor so grand,
And wide o'er the plains of the sunbright land. [Chorus]

3 Where sounds of sweet melody fall on the ear,
Too pure, and too holy for mortals to hear,
And crystal-like rivers are rippling along,
Reechoing back each melodious song. [Chorus]
