185. The Time of Harvest

1 List! across the ocean comes the call today,
Weary souls are dying; help them while you may;
Take to them the gospel, lead them to the King,
Make the soul sin darkness to arise and sing.

Refrain:
Hearken to their pleading, come and work today,
Fields are ripe and waiting, garner while you may;
Win them for the Master ere the daylight dies,
Tell them of the home prepared beyond the skies.
Hearken to their pleading, come and work today,
Fields are ripe and waiting, garner while you may.
Point to them the Master ere the daylight dies,
Tell them of their home prepared beyond the skies.

2 There is need of workers, lo! the fields are white;
But the clouds hang o’er them; who will take the light?
Hark! the Lord is calling for the lab’rer true,
In the time of harvest He hath need of you. [Refrain]

3 Swift the days are flying, win your precious store,
Ere the sheaves are gathered and the harvest o’er.
Hasten to the harvest, witness for the Lord,
Gladly spread the tidings of His love outpoured. [Refrain]
