Notes: Responsorial refrain to reading of Psalm 147. Tone included for chanting. When using as a refrain for the reading or chanting of the psalm, sing only the first line. At the conclusion of the psalm the entire refrain may be sung in canon. Alternate refrain 2 can build up through the reading or chanting of the psalm. At the first indication of the refrain, the leader sings the first theme, which is then repeated by group 1. At the second singing of the refrain the leader sings the second theme, which is then repeated by group 2. The same pattern follows for the third theme with group 3. At the final singing of the refrain, bring in the three groups one at a time, each group repeating its theme.
