206. Men of Valor.

1 Men of valor, of all ages,
Join the conflict as it rages;
Young and old the fight engages,
Lend now your aid!
Sounds of tumult now are nearing;
Mighty is the foe appearing;
Onward go, in spite of jeering,
Be not afraid!

Chorus:
Bugles calling,
Foes are falling!
Bravely now defend the right!
Souls are pleading,
Courage needing,
You must help to win the fight!
Christ obeying,
Nor delaying,
To the front in haste, away!
Be a soldier true;
There is need of you
In the ranks today.

2 Men of valor, sin assailing
With no fear of weakly failing,
'Tis the tho't of right prevailing
Strengthens the arm.
"God and home" the watchword ever;
Chains of evil you must sever;
Duty calls! be faithless never,--
God shields from harm! [Chorus]

3 Men of valor, rise in number!
In your tents no longer slumber,
Nor the valiant hosts encumber,
Rouse ye, be true!
See! the heart of sin is quaking!
Her defense is surely breaking!
To your duty then awaking,
God calls for you. [Chorus]
