Notes: Responsorial refrain to reading of Psalm 57. This vocal framing and accompaniment for psalm reading comes from a children’s Psalter, but the entire congregation should enjoy its simple form. Allow the sung ostinato (vocal vamp under the spoken verses) to be sung several times before beginning the reading. Be sure that the verses are read at a relaxed pace. Use enough amplification so that the reader can speak with a natural tone and still be heard by the singing congregation
