Intermediate • From the pen of this well-known composer comes a unique collection of piano voluntaries: musical interpretations of hymn tunes associated with the Book of Psalms. The psalms expressed the praises, thanks, and hurts of God’s people, all preserved by the community of faith—a guide for meditation and honesty before God. Each of the six pieces, accurately timed, depicts the general tone of the verse which is printed at the head of the arrangement, and it is suggested that these texts be included in the congregational leaflet or printed recital program. This finely crafted music is well suited for recitals or general service use.
