Check out: http://www.hymnary.org/person/Scheer_Greg. My head is bigger than normal. Is this a page code issue?
The image should be scaled down so that both the geometric size and file size are smaller. It should probably also be hosted on CCEL servers.

Is there a way we could make image additions volunteer friendly? Maybe a short note about where to upload photos and what size/dimension they should be?

Pics and performance
Without reading into the original concern too much. Here would be my thought from a DBA standpoint --
1. Now that pics have been used, has sufficient planning occurred for the amount of space that will be used to support this feature?
2. What about additional disk space, cost of disk space and performance impact of using pics as a feature?
3. While I like the feature, does what it adds outweigh any potential performance, disk space cost, and network throughput cost?
4. Size and location of pics are defininte concern because od bandwidth cost in terms of cycles
5. Any security issues associated with pics?
O yea ... suggested rule on max head size :)
