Arne, Thomas Augustine, 1710-1778

Born in London, distinguished for his theatrical compositions, Thomas
Arne wrote the patriotic song "Rule, Britannia!," two oratorios, and
music for the Catholic service. The hymns attributed to him are adapted
from his operas.
