Thomas Attwood

Born in London, studied in Italy and under Mozart in Vienna. He was
organist at the Royal Chapel and professor of the Royal Academy of
Music. A friend and admirer of Mendelssohn, he composed at first for
the theatre, and later choral music, anthems and chants.
