Anuncio:
Los magos que llegaron a Belén
anunciaron la llegada del Mesías,
y nosotros con alegría
la anunciamos hoy también. ¡Ah!
De tierra lejana
venimos a verte,
nos sirve de guia
la estrella de oriente.
Estribillo:
Oh brillante estrella
que anuncias la aurora
no nos falte nunca
tu luz bienhechora.
Gloria en las alturas al Hijo de Dios,
gloria en las alturas y en la tierra amore.
Al recién nacido
que es Rey de los reyes,
oro le regalo para
honrar sus sienes. [Estribillo]
Como es Dios
el niño le regalo incienso,
perfume con alas
que sube hasta el cielo. [Estribillo]
Al niño del cielo
que bajo a la tierra,
le regalo mirra
que inspira tristeza. [Estribillo]
Conclusión:
Los magos que llegaron a Belén
anunciaron la llegada del Mesías,
y nosotros on alegría
la anunciamos hoy también.

Introduction:
The magi who to Bethlehem did go
were the heralds of the coming of Messiah;
and with joy we would also hasten
to announce the good news. Ah!
1 From a distant land
we come with humble greeting,
where the eastern star
our caravan is leading.
Refrain:
Ever-shining star,
God's brilliant dawn revealing
ever guide our way,
God's presence still assuring.
Glory be to God, who sent the child of heaven,
glory be to God, and peace to all on earth.
2 To the newborn child,
who has no earthly treasure,
I have come with gold
to bring delight and pleasure. [Refrain]
3 To the child of God
rich incense I am bringing,
with aroma sweet
that heavenward is winging. [Refrain]
4 To the child who came
to bring us heaven's gladness.
I have come with myrrh,
a sign of coming sadness. [Refrain]
Conclusion:
The magi who to Bethlehem did go
were the heralds of the coming of Messiah;
and with joy we would also hasten
to announce the good news.
