Representative Text

1 Amid these cares and sorrows,
When courage sinks away,
Out of the words that are divine,
And sweetly to this heart of mine,
I hear the Saviour say:

Refrain:
Call and I will answer thee,
Call and I will answer thee;
Call in thy faith, call in thy need,
And I will answer thee.

2 Amid these toils and trials,
When I am worn and weak,
Out of the words of hope and love,
That I may look to him above,
I hear the Saviour speak: [Refrain]

3 To comfort and sustain me,
Along this rugged way,
Out of the truths that ever shine,
To sweetly win this soul of mine,
I hear the Saviour say: [Refrain]
