Representative Text

1 How bless'd is he who fears the LORD
And walks in his appointed ways.
2 For thy hands labour thou shalt eat,
And shalt be happy all thy days.
3 Thy wife shall like a goodly vine
By thy house side be fruitful found:
Thy children like fair olive plants,
Adorn thy cheerful table round.

4 Lo, thus the man who fears the LORD,
With earthly good shall blessed be:
5 Yea more, the LORD from Zion hill
Will heav'nly blessings send to thee.
The good of our Jerusalem,
Thou all thy happy life shalt view.
6 Thy children's children thou shalt see,
And peaceful times on Isr'el too.
