Ye Shall Be Holy

Representative Text

1 In the wondrous realms of grace
Every one may find a place,
And redemption from the curse of sin;
Justified, from sin set free,
Cleansed from all depravity,
When the blessed Holy Ghost comes in.

Refrain:
Ye shall be holy,
For I the Lord your God am holy;
Ye shall be holy,
Like unto Me, the meek and lowly,
Cleansed from Every stain of sin,
Sanctified and pure within—
Because it is written,
“Be ye holy, for I am holy.”

2 This the will of God we see
That we sanctified should be,
And for this the Lamb of God was slain;
That the “man of sin” might die,
That the Spirit from on high
May within us live and rule and reign. [Refrain]

3 On the cross of agony
Jesus died that we might be
Sanctified and for His use made meet;
O the mystery of love
That someday in courts above
We may stand before His throne complete! [Refrain]
