? - 1929 Hymnal Title: Christian Science Hymnal (Rev. and enl.) Author of "Now sweeping down the years untold" in Christian Science Hymnal (Rev. and enl.) Nourse, Laura C. (?--1929). A resident of Pompey, New York, she studied with Mary Baker Eddy in 1888. She moved to Escanaba, Michigan, in 1893 and to Eau Claire, Wisconsin, in 1897. Brackett was born on September 30, 1852 in Charlestown, Massachusetts. He worked for a while for the Ol­i­ver Dit­son Com­pa­ny, and lat­er taught in Chick­er­ing Hall in Bos­ton. He was the mu­sic ed­it­or of the first Chris­tian Sci­ence Hym­nal in 1892, con­trib­ut­ing 99 tunes. He died on May 8, 1937 in Roslindale, Massachusetts.
