Author: Anonymous Hymnal: The Cyber Hymnal #3657 Meter: 8.6.8.6.8.6 Lyrics: 1. Let Heav’n and earth rejoice and sing, Salute this happy morn; The Savior which is Christ our king, He on this day was born; The Savior which is Christ our king, He on this day was born. 2. Come let us join our hearts to God, And thus exalt His fame; To save us all this babe was born, And Jesus is His name; To save us all this babe was born, And Jesus is His name. 3. Wise men and kings rich gifts did bring To Bethlehem straightway; Conducted by a leading star, Where Christ our Savior lay; Conducted by a leading star, Where Christ our Savior lay. 4. O Lord, to Thee all glory be, Whom Heav’n and earth adore, For our Redeemer we will praise This day and evermore; For our Redeemer we will praise This day and evermore. Anonymous

Author of "Let Heav'n and Earth Rejoice and Sing" in The Cyber Hymnal In some hymnals, the editors noted that a hymn's author is unknown to them, and so this artificial "person" entry is used to reflect that fact. Obviously, the hymns attributed to "Author Unknown" "Unknown" or "Anonymous" could have been written by many people over a span of many centuries.
