1942 - 1998 Person Name: C. F. B. Hymnal Title: Favorites Number 9 Author of "Part the Waters" in Favorites Number 9 Charles Franklin Brown USA 1942-1998. Born at Nixon, TX, he was the son of a Baptist minister. He attended high school at Beeville, TX. He married Sherene Brown and he spent four years in the Navy, and they traveled to his various naval assignments around the world. No information found regarding family. During his military service he also taught in the naval School of Music at Virginia Beach, VA. He later lived at Nixon, TX, and attended Baylor U, Baylor, TX, and Southern Methodist U, University Park, TX, receiving music degrees. He worked with Word Records, Waco, TX, as a publisher. One of his music books is: ‘Sing & Celebrate’. He was an orchestra conductor and music arranger. He mentored and inspired many musicians over the years. He died at Waco, TX. John Perry
