John Snape

1889 - 1968 Person Name: I. B. B. Author of "Our Heavenly Father" in Glad Songs Ida Belle Blough Snavely was born in Waterloo, Iowa. She attended Mt. Morris College for four years and Bethany Biblical Seminary, Chicago for one year. She taught school for three years in the Orange township school and did city mission work in Waterloo for three years. She married Everett H. Snavely in 1918 and they farmed together for 29 years in Orange township. She was a member of the South Waterloo Church of the Brethren. Alfred Cookman Snead

1884 - 1961 Author of "Fully Surrendered" Snead, Alfred Cookman. (1884--1961). Attended Taylor University 1898-1902 and later Nyack Missionary Training Institute. When to India as C & MA missionary but forced to return in 1909 due to ill health. Pastor of Alliance church in Indianapolis, then taught at Nyack, 1918-1930. Elected Foreign Secretary of the Society in 1921 which office he held until retiring in 1956. Honored by Taylor with a Doctor of Divinity degree. Wrote a book of poems but only one set to music,"Fully Surrendered" by George Stebbins. --Paul Milburn, DNAH Archives

Georgia T. Snead
