Notes

Are you coming home, ye wanderers? [Invitation.] In his My Life and Sacred Songs, 1906, p. 64, Mr. Sankey says:—
"The original of this hymn was written by a young lady in Scotland, who signed herself "C. C." Falling into Mr. McGranahan's hands, he arranged the poem somewhat differently, and set the words to music."
Both words and music are No. 397 in Sacred Songs and Solos, 1881. The words are ascribed to "A. N."
