Awake, Ye Nations Of The Earth

Representative Text

1 Awake, ye nations of the earth,
And celebrate the Savior’s birth;
With grateful hearts salute the morn,

2 The shining hosts, on wings of love,

With acclamation from the skies,
And seized the shepherds with surprise.

3 The heavenly choir around did sing:
This day is born the Savior-King.
They swell their notes to praise again,
"Glory to God, goodwill to men."
