1 Christ the Savior is here,
Let the world with welcome ring;
Praises sound far and near,
For the advent of the King.

Refrain:
Joy to the world! the Lord is come;
Let earth receive her king;
Let ev’ry heart prepare Him room,
And Heav’n and nature sing,
And Heav’n and nature sing,
And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing.

2 Christ the Shepherd of souls,
Our Redeemer and our Lord,
Heav’n its monarch extols,
And proclaims His birth abroad. [Refrain]

3 Christ, exalted above,
Now begins His glorious reign.
Ev’ry heart is His throne,
And the earth is His domain. [Refrain]
