1. Ĉio karna nun eksilentu, staru en tremanta timem'.
Vin nenio tera nun tentu, ĉar kun mano plena de ben',
Kristo nia Di' descendas, vokas al senfina Amen'!

2. Vere Dio tamen naskita de Maria iam sur ter',
Dia Vorto home vestita, Li en korpa, sanga ofer',
Donis Sin al ni kredantoj, viva pano, vivo de ver'.

3. Range staras la ĉieluloj, gardas laŭ la voj' en ador',
Dum descendas Lumo de lumoj el la regnoj de luma glor',
Ke l' infer-potenc’ malpura kiel ombro pasu jam for.

4. Antaŭ Li seraf' sesflugila, kerubar', je l' epifani',
Sin vualas pro Lia brilo, daŭre krias en simfoni':
“Aleluja, Aleluja! Aleluja, plej alta Di'!”

Translator (English): Gerard Moultrie

Moultrie, Gerard, M.A., son of the Rev. John Moultrie, was born at Rugby Rectory, Sept. 16, 1829, and educated at Rugby and Exeter College, Oxford (B.A. 1851, M.A. 1856). Taking Holy Orders, he became Third Master and Chaplain in Shrewsbury School; Chaplain to the Dowager Marchioness of Londonderry, 1855-59; curate of Brightwaltham, 1859; and of Brinfield, Berks, 1860; Chaplain of the Donative of Barrow Gurney, Bristol, 1864: Vicar of Southleigh, 1869, and Warden of St. James's College, Southleigh,1873.
