Climb on, Climb on Young Friend

Representative Text

1 Climb on, climb on, young friend.
Follow the pathway leading above.
Although the fields below with mist are shrouded,
friend, still climb on.
High above o'er the peaks
The sun is shining in splendor bright.
Along the narrow way,
Keep pressing on, young friend, still climb on.

2 Climb on, climb on, with faith.
Follow the pathway leading above.
Although the wind and rain with fury block the way,
friend, climb on.
Up above the dark clouds
The air is clear and the sky is blue.
Have faith in God's great power,
And bravely trusting it, still climb on.

3 Help to each other give
along the pathway leading above.
If someone fallen be, and stricken down
with pain on the way,
Tend with care to their needs,
And comfort give with the hands of love.
Pointing to peaks on high,
Climb on together, friend, still climb on.
