Come, Be Glad!

Representative Text

1 Come, be glad! Sing and praise!
See what God has done!
Formed the earth, spread the seas,
set in place the mountains;
radiant sun, shining stars,
rivers, plains and fountains.

2 Come, my soul lift your eyes!
See what God has done!
Led the slaves through the sea
to a promised blessing;
faithful love, day and night,
guarding and protecting.

3 Come, rejoice! Praise God's name!
See what God has done!
When full time came to be
Christ appeared redeeming;
prophets, priests, martyrs, saints,
Jesus' name confessing.

4 Come, with joy! Fill your hearts!
See what God has done!
Holy Flame, Spirit, Fire,
burns in each believer
bringing life, love and joy,
binding all together.

5 Come, give thanks! Sing God's praise!
See what God has done!
Sends us out to obey
"Go and make disciples."
Christ alive! Christ alone reigns
in glory always.
