1 Das sei alle meine Tage
meine Sorg und meine Frage:
Ob der Herr in mir regiert?
Ob ich in der Gnade stehe?
Ob ich zu dem Ziele gehe?
Ob ich folge, wie Er führt?

2 Ob ich sorglos nichts versäume?
Nichts aus Lässigkeit verträume?
Ob mein Herz sich nicht zerstreut?
Ob mich jegliches Versehen,
deren täglich viel geschehen,
immer auch empfindlich reut?

3 Ob mir Jesus alles werde?
Ob mich das Geräusch der Erde
nie ums stille Seligsein
im Genuß der Gnade bringe?
Ob ich trachte, streb und ringe,
Jesus ähnlicher zu sein?
