Representative Text

1 Fair lilies, fair lilies we bring you,
The pretty white lilies we bring you;
So pure and so sweet,
In beauty complete,
The bright Easter lilies now blooming.
O hear what the lilies would tell you,
The pretty white lilies would tell you;
In wonderful love,
He came from above,
The bright Easter lilies would tell.

2 Fair lilies, fair lilies we bring you,
The pretty white lilies we bring you;
So dear and so true,
We bring them to you,
The bright Easter lilies now blooming.
O hear what the lilies would tell you,
The pretty white lilies would tell you;
He suffered and died,
For us crucified,
The bright Easter lilies would tell.

3 Fair lilies, fair lilies we bring you,
The pretty white lilies we bring you;
So joyful today,
In lovely array,
The bright Easter lilies now blooming.
O hear what the lilies would tell you,
The pretty white lilies would tell you;
He rose from the grave,
And liveth to save,
The bright Easter lilies would tell.

4 Fair lilies, fair lilies we bring you,
The pretty white lilies we bring you;
The first of the year,
So full of good cheer,
The bright Easter lilies now blooming.
O hear what the lilies would tell you,
The pretty white lilies would tell you;
"We rise from the tomb
In heavenly bloom,"
The bright Easter lilies would tell.
