Representative Text

1 From the deep star-laden sky
Fell the incense down the air;
Golden censers swinging high
To the sound of music rare.

Refrain:
Glory to God! Glory to God!
Glory to God, and good will to men!

2 Stood the shepherds in the night
Listening spellbound to the song
That with more than earthly might
Rolled the happy vales along. [Refrain]

3 So with peace, good will on earth
Comes the holy Christmas tide,
Blessèd day of Jesus’ birth,
Spread its glories far and wide. [Refrain]
