Frank Marion Davis, 1839-1896
Born: January 23, 1839, near Marcellus, Onondaga County, New York.
Died: August 1, 1896, Chesterfield, Indiana.
Buried: Findley, Michigan.
Davis traveled extensively, living at different times in Marcellus, New York; Vicksburg, Mississippi; Baltimore, Maryland; Cincinnati, Ohio; and Burr Oak and Findley, Michigan. He taught voice and instrumental classes, had charge of choirs in various places, and sang many solos. He never married. Davis’ first published composition appeared in Waverly Magazine; his other works include:
