God's home is here with humankind

Tune: ST. ANDREW (Tans'ur)

Representative Text

1 God's home is here with humankind,
for heaven broke out on earth when Yesu,
born a little child,
ennobled human birth.

2 With eyes of faith we see beyond
the cruelty, death and pain.
We see that Christ, once slain by sin,
is here alive again.

3 Alive again and with us all,
Christ leads to victory.
Through Christ we know that God is here,
in darkness, light we see.

4 So do not fear the tyrants' power
nor think that God might fail.
God's home is here this very hour,
and goodness will prevail.
