Representative Text

1 Hark, the bells are ringing,
Sweet and low,
In the steeples swinging,
To and fro.
Telling the old story,
How he died for men,
Christ the King of Glory,
Now He lives again.

Chorus:
Ringing, ringing,
Sweet and low,
Swinging, swinging,
To and fro,
Clear and sweet the music swells,
O'er the hills and down the dells,
Christ our Saviour lives again,
King of kings o'er earth to reign.

2 Calling to the wand'rers,
Far and wide,
Telling how for sinners
Jesus died.
O the blessed story,
Ring it loud and clear,
Bells of Easter chime it,
Till all nations hear. [Chorus]

3 Ring the blessed tidings,
Gladly ring,
Over earth He reigneth
Prince and King.
All shall bow before Him,
And His might proclaim,
King of kings is Jesus,
Blessed be His name. [Chorus]
