Representative Text

1 Have the days been filled with blessings;
Has your pathway brightly shone
With the presence of the Master?
It is better farther on.

Refrain:
Farther on! farther on!
Count the mile-stones one by one;
Jesus will forsake you never,
It is better farther on.

2 Does your kind and loving Saviour,
With His tender mercies crown
Ev’ry swiftly passing moment?
It is better farther on. [Refrain]

3 Have you felt His strong arms ‘round you
When you thought you walk’d alone?
He will fold you closer, nearer,
It is better farther on. [Refrain]

4 Peace of God, so sweet, so precious,
In its fullness have you known?
You may have still greater measure,
It is better farther on. [Refrain]
