Representative Text

1 I see my Savior with thorn-crowned head,
Bearing His cross for me;
Thorn-pierced His brow, as by soldiers led,
Bearing His cross for me.

Refrain:
Bearing His cross for me,
Bearing His cross for me,
Wonderful Savior, what anguish He bore,
Bearing His cross for me.

2 I see Him pass thru the city gate,
Bearing His cross for me;
On midst the taunts and the people’s hate,
Bearing His cross for me. [Refrain]

3 I see Him burdened with this world’s sin,
Bearing His cross for me;
Willing to suffer, all hearts to win,
Bearing His cross for me. [Refrain]
