Ich hab' ein Wort vernommen

Representative Text

1 Ich hab ein Wort vernommen,
das Jesus selber spricht:
Wen dürstet, der soll kommen,
denn ich verstoß ihn nicht.
Und keiner kommt vergebens;
aus Christi Fülle
quillt ein Wasser solchen Lebens,
das alles Dürsten stillt.

2 So komm doch ohne Bangen
zu Jesu Gnadenquell,
dort wirst du Heil empfangen,
das macht dich rein und hell!
Dort schwinden alle Flecken,
und alles Weh und Ach
wird Jesu Blut bedecken,
denn heut ist Gnadentag!

3 So komm ich, eingeladen,
weil Du so freundlich bist,
Herr, zu dem Quell der Gnaden,
der mir zum Heile fließt.
Mein Herz ist voll Verlangen,
Dir ganz zu öffnen sich,
von Dir, Herr, zu empfangen
das Leben, Jesus, Dich!
