Jesus, ever Jesus

1 Jesus in the morning,
At the rising tide,
In his heavenly splendor
Walketh by my side.
Jesus at the midday,
In the burning glow,
Oft in fondest accents,
Bids me onward go.

2 Jesus at the nightfall,
Day's declining hour,
Fills my yearning bosom
With his healing power.
Jesus, ever Jesus,
In our hope and stay,
Guiding all the journey,
Of our upward way.
