Representative Text

1 Oh, name of names the sweetest
To mortals ever given!
Oh, gift of gifts the dearest
That ever came from heaven!

Refrain:
The Lord of life and glory,
The King of kings above,
Descends to earth as Jesus,
And shows for man his love;
Descends to earth as Jesus,
And shows for man his love.

2 Oh, name of names the sweetest!
Well may each heart and voice
With rapture tune his praises,
With ecstasy rejoice. [Refrain]

3 Oh, name of names the sweetest!
Behold, he dies for me;
Oh, gift of gifts the dearest!
He makes salvation free. [Refrain]
