Representative Text

1 One thing I know; oh, bless his name,
To me the Lord of mercy came,
He filled my heart with love's bright flame,
This I know, this I know.

Chorus:
I know, I know, he loved me so,
He saved my soul from sin and woe,
Now peace and joy he doth bestow,
This I know, This I know.

2 One thing I know; he heard my cries,
With mighty pow'r he touched my eyes,
To see the light that never dies,
This I know, this I know. [Chorus]

3 One thing I know; he died for me,
In him my hope, my trust shall be,
My Saviour lives eternally,
This I know, this I know. [Chorus]

4 One thing I know; the Savour's mine,
Oh, boundless grace, oh, joy divine!
And heav'nly beams around me shine,
This I know, this I know. [Chorus]

5 One thing I know; oh, help me sing
Such happy praise to Christ our King,
While smiling faith and love upspring,
This I know, this I know. [Chorus]
