Praise Ye the Lord in Faith and Hope

Representative Text

1 Praise ye the Lord in faith and hope forever,
No more let doubt steal from you heaven's favor;
Lift up your heads ye everlasting gates,
The King of glory full of love outside the portals waits.

Refrain:
O praise ye the Lord from Beulah's vales and mountains;
Praise ye the Lord from sweet Hephzibah's fountains!
The King of glory, full of love outside the portals waits.

2 Praise ye the Lord, in Christ forever joying!
Praise ye the Lord, both heart and tongue employing,
Tell of His love, tell how He saves from sin
And guides the heart in truth and peace and keeps the conscience clean. [Refrain]

3 Lift up your heads, the Holy Ghost will enter,
Fill you with joy, your heart on Jesus center,
Keep you thro' life and Jesus in you show,
A citizen of heaven make you while on earth below. [Refrain]

4 Praise ye the Lord, ye happy, ransomed people,
Strong in His pow'r no longer faint nor feeble,
Safe in His name, 'tis heav'n on earth ye know,
With truth and peace and righteousness keep ev'ry heart aglow. [Refrain]
