Son of the Lord Most High

Full Text

1. Son of the Lord most high
Who gave the worlds their birth,
He came to live and die
The Son of man on earth.
In Bethlehem's stable born was He,
And humbly lived in Galilee,
And humbly lived in Galilee.

2. Born in so low estate,
Schooled in a workman's trade,
Not with the high and great
His home the highest made:
But laboring by His brethren's side
Life's common lot He glorified,
Life's common lot He glorified.

3. O lowly majesty,
Loftly in lowliness!
Blest Saviour, who am I
To share thy blessedness?
Yet thou hast called me, even me,
Servant divine, to follow thee,
Servant divine, to follow thee.
