Representative Text

1. There’s a stream flowing in peace,
To the lost, bringing release,
If they drink of its waters so clear;
O then come, owning each sin,
And receive cleansing within—
O be saved while your Redeemer’s near.

Refrain
Beautiful stream, flowing along,
Bringing peace to the millions in woe;
Beautiful stream, river of life,
To this stream, sinner, oh haste to go!

2. Lovely stream, river of life,
There you’ll find freedom from strife,
Precious balm for the weary alway;
If you shall hear to believe,
Pardoning grace you shall receive,
And thro’ Christ, gladness obtain for aye. [Refrain]

3. Stream of life, peaceful and blest,
Near thy flow may we all rest,
And from sin and its sorrows be free;
Till beyond death we shall meet,
There our Lord’s praise to repeat,
Thro’ a long happy eternity! [Refrain]
