Eden Reeder Latta, 1839-1915 Born: March 24, 1839, Haw Patch, In­di­a­na. Died: Dec 21, 1915, Gut­ten­berg, Io­wa. Buried: City cem­e­tery, Gut­ten­berg, Io­wa. Boyhood friend of Wil­liam A. Og­den, Lat­ta taught for a time in the pub­lic schools of Coles­burg, Io­wa. He wrote over 1,600 songs and hymns in his life­time.
