Full Text

1 We must not break God’s holy law,
By wicked words profane,
For He will punish every one
That takes His name in vain.

Refrain:
Remember, remember, it is the Lord’s command;
Remember, remember, it is the Lord’s command.

2 How many break the Lord’s command,
And take His name in vain;
But if they tho’t how wrong it was,
They would not sin again. [Refrain]

3 O let us pity them, and pray
That they may be forgiven;
May come to God thro’ Christ our Lord,
And find the way to heaven. [Refrain]
