Representative Text

1 Whatsoever be thy grief,
God will help thee to endure,
Only trust Him and believe,
All His promises are sure.

Refrain:
He will help thee, He will help thee,
Yield to Him and never fear;
Give Him all thy doubts and troubles,
He will all thy pleadings hear.

2 God will help thee evermore,
If thou trusting lift thine eyes,
He will bear thee safely o’er,
All that here thy spirit tries. [Refrain]

3 Let this promise cheer thy heart,
He will help and comfort thee,
Never let thy hope depart,
Evermore thy friend will be. [Refrain]

4 God will help thee day by day,
We can nevermore forget,
Though the shadows cloud thy way,
He will guard and guide thee yet. [Refrain]
