Representative Text

1 When wand’ring and doubting in sadness and sin,
And constantly looking my heart within,
I heard the sweet message that calmed me to peace,
Go look unto Jesus and find release.

Refrain:
I heard the sweet message, I looked unto Jesus,
Yes, Jesus the wonderful one,
He spoke to my heart in such accents of love,
O Jesus, the wonderful one.

2 I looked unto Jesus, that Savior divine,
For pardon and peace to this heart of mine,
I trusted his mercy and love unto me,
He broke all my fetters and set me free. [Refrain]

3 I carried my burdens, so heavy to bear,
And laid at his feet for his notice and care;
And now I am trusting to that sweet voice,
To guide me to heaven, my home, my choice. [Refrain]
