Ya consumada su mortal carrera

Representative Text

1 Ya consumada su mortal carrera
En holocausto de infinito amor,
Sube a los cielos y glorioso vive
El Salvador.

2 Vive a la diestra del eterno Padre,
Donde disfruta de divino honor;
Pues intercede por sus hijos todos,
Fiel mediador.

3 En tierra y cielos el poder le es dado,
Como a los suyos Él dijo al subir;
Lo que a su iglesia prometido tiene
Sabe cumplir.

4 Sobre su trono de esplendor sentado
El alma siempre con amor lo ve:
Jamás hay nube que la vista estorbe
De nuestra fe.

5 Verbo divino, que ensalzado reinas,
Y nos preparas celestial mansión,
Tennos por hijos, y benigno escucha
Nuestra oración.

6 En esta oscura terrenal morada
Tú nuestro amparo, nuestro guía sé;
Hasta que en gloria la visión eterna
Supla a la fe.

Amén.

Obviously, the hymns attributed to "Author Unknown" "Unknown" or "Anonymous" could have been written by many people over a span of many centuries. Go to person page >
