Representative Text

1 Just over in yonder fair world would I look,
Where mansions are promised to be;
And see if the Master has corner or nook—
A place He would give even me.

Chorus:
In that land without a tear,
Where the sin-stains ne’er appear,
I am list’ning, Lord, to hear—
Will there be a place for me?

2 Our loved ones have gone on to claim their reward,
And patiently wait for us there;
O brother or sister, how can we afford
To miss what the Lord has to share! [Chorus]

3 O sinner He’s promised that thou, too, shouldst live,
So turn thee away from thy sin,
And all of thy service henceforth to Him give,
There’s a room, He invites thee, come in. [Chorus]

4 Yes, surely there’s somewhere a corner for each,
If you shall prove true to your Lord;
But, oh, to lose heaven, how sad it would be,
To be lost, O terrible word! [Chorus]
