Buried: North­wood Cem­e­te­ry, Phil­a­del­phia, Penn­syl­van­ia (an un­marked plot in the "Ivy" sec­tion of the cem­e­te­ry). Pseudonym: Mau­rice A. Clif­ton. Hall grad­u­at­ed with hon­ors from the Un­i­ver­si­ty of Penn­syl­van­ia; he lat­er re­ceived an hon­or­a­ry Doc­tor of Mu­sic de­gree from Har­ri­man Un­i­ver­si­ty.
