Claude Goudimel (c. 1514 to 1520 – between 28 August and 31 August 1572) was a French composer, music editor and publisher, and music theorist of the Renaissance. Claude Goudimel was born in Besançon. Composer: Louis Bourgeois

Loys "Louis" Bourgeois (c.1510–1560) was a French composer and music theorist of the Renaissance. Texts

The Lord Is God, There Is No Other

The Lord is God, the one and true God,
beyond all we can think or see.
God’s name among us shall be holy.
God’s Sabbath rest shall make us free.

Father and mother we will honor;
all human life will we befriend.
All whom we love will find us faithful;

Truthful in speech, our reputation;
by selflessness shall we be known.
Unending love we pledge all people,
our highest love for God alone.

We sing the praise of Him who died

We sing the praise of Him Who died,
Of Him Who died upon the Cross:
The sinner's hope let men deride:
For this we count the world but loss.

The day thou gavest, Lord, is ended

The day thou gavest, Lord, is ended,
The darkness falls at Thy behest;
To Thee our morning hymns ascended,
Thy praise shall hallow now our rest.
